“Shanna is great. She has been patient and collaborative in planning for my Roxie's care. We had a meet and greet, then a short daycare stay, then a full day of daycare. She is well versed in dog behavior. My dog, coincidentally a "pitbull type" is often categorized and judged as "vicious or aggressive" even before people meet her. I've had dog sitters on Rover decline to provide services simply because of her breed or her appearance. Shanna understands that Roxie is a dog: a dog with her own level of prey drive (so Roxie is not allowed in her daughter's room cause of the hamster she has); a dog with some anxiety who barked at her husband when he came into the house. They didn't freak out. Shanna understood Roxie's behavior and worked through it, allowing Roxie to get to know her husband, settle and move on. I truly appreciate her family's openness and acceptance. We have two more full days of daycare booked and if all continues well, we will book boarding services. Roxie is people and dog friendly, but the discrimination we have experienced on Rover, leads me to take things in a new daycare/boarding situation slowly. Shanna has been very reassuring and understanding. throughout the process. I HIGHLY recommend her.”

“This was my first time using Rover. Ana was sweet and nice to Oakley. She has a nice calm and inviting environment. Oakley always gets very nervous. She sent me pictures to show me how Oakley was doing. I could tell he was getting comfortable. Oakley also seemed more calm after coming home than he would when he come home from the big doggy hotel. I was happy 😊”

About: It’s been my passion to work with different types of animals and care for them, ever since I was younger. Family and friends have entrusted me with their pets, and making sure they’re fed, bathed, and played with. I’m currently a part time student enrolled in College, which leaves me plenty of time to play & care for your fur babies and all their needs. I’m a very well-trusted person and will do everything to keep your fur babies happy and healthy under my care.

About: Hi there! I'm Desiree, a dog-loving stay-at-home mom. With Wolfe as my sidekick, I know the ins and outs of caring for furry friends. From my childhood pals Cho Cho and Dotty to my college buddy Oreo, dogs have always been a big part of my life. Wolfe's a playful mama's girl, and I'd love to extend that love to your furbabies too. They'll be in good hands with me, treated just like family. As a stay-at-home mom, I'm typically available every day, and I make sure to keep my calendar updated for any changes. Last-minute bookings or cancellations are completely fine with me! Your pet's safety and happiness are my top priorities! Owners will receive multiple updates each day until bedtime, typically through photos and occasional videos. Your pet's well-being is my main focus, and I'll follow your guidelines to keep them safe and happy.
18. Aspen F.
About: I have a large variety of experiences with alllll kinds of animals in every scenario you can imagine. I grew up rural, and now living in the city I can tell you that nobody lives their pets more than the person who seeks out professional care for them while they're away for any length of time-thats where I come in! I've worked in veterinary hospitals, mobile grooming salons, ranches galore, and have had dogs and cats (newborns to seniors!) and pigs and horses etc etc etc(!) since childhood. I have an extreme sensitivity to being able to tune into the animals around me and that's why this job is perfect for me! I'm currently looking for full time work, as long as this gig doesn't take off in a way that allows me to just hang with your pets all day long instead! I have a vehicle, and a family that supports all of my fur-baby endeavors. My animals at home are really flexible and easy-going and can be separated or integrated into care of your dogs or cats. I have a fenced yard and a great neighborhood for walks, plus my own transportation and a family to support me being away for lengths of time so care for your babies can be confidently taken care of in my home, or in yours. I have experience with this type of work before and the sense of mind to take action if needed for any situation, so you can have peace of mind while you're not able to do the same!
